Michael Wetzel is the Sr. Manager of Workplace Solutions at The Hershey Company. He is a thought leader who thrives on delivering positive change with a relentless passion to simplify technologies. Michael is deeply committed to helping organizations adapt to new ways of working to increase their collaboration. His mission is to create a convenient and enjoyable work experience for all. Michael joined The Hershey Company in 2012 and was tapped a year later to co-lead a company-wide initiative to roll out innovative new technologies to drive global collaboration and productivity for about 7,500 knowledge workers. His role in this digital transformation has resulted in him being a featured speaker at Microsoft’s Mid-Atlantic CIO Summit, a breakout session speaker at Microsoft Ignite, featured in an Office 365 Customer Story, and most recently interviewed for an article on Modern Workplaces in Harvard Business Review. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Towson University in Towson, Maryland where he also played baseball for the Tigers. He currently resides just outside of Hershey, PA with his wonderful wife Julie and his amazingly talented daughter Cora. He can often be found reading, coaching sports or enjoying anything outdoors with his family.
