As an HR professional of more than two decades, Michelle Dupont has always kept people at the centre of programs, policies and strategies she’s influenced. She goes to great lengths to ensure the voice of the employee is heard at the decision-making table, paying attention to carefully balance economics with employee experience. This has proved critically important in her current role as VP of HR for Finning Canada, as the business experiences extraordinary change at an unprecedented pace, with a layer of pandemic to add to the complexity. Prior to her current role, Michelle led global talent development for Finning, helping change the narrative and value proposition for current and future employees, a challenging role to navigate within a nearly nine-decade year-old company. Before Finning, Michelle led diverse teams in progressively more senior roles at Matrix Solutions, Suncor Energy, Viterra and WestJet. Michelle is a proud graduate of the MBA program at Queen’s University and has a bachelor of Education in Developmental Psychology from the University of Calgary. When she isn’t working, Michelle is mom to three children and her dog, Lobo.
