GE created an enterprise-wide KM Strategy and began implementation in early 2016. In three years, they have designed and launched 160+ global communities for their engineering staff and others across GE businesses (with more than 130K members). Their focus is on tacit knowledge exchanges for GE’s engineering workforce. Within a year, they expect to grow to about 200 communities that engage about 175,000 employees in primary and supporting roles to our 55K+ engineers.
